Volunteers

The Hands and Feet Project offers volunteer positions at the Children's Villages throughout Haiti. Volunteers get the chance to learn mission work firsthand working in an assortment of jobs to help sustain the HAF mission of caring for orphaned and abandoned children. Volunteers usually last from three months to a year. The HAF office in the states will work with our local site directors in Haiti to match up potential interns with needs in the field.

QUALIFICATIONS 

1.      Must be a Christian with a desire to work in missions.

2.      18 years or older.

3.      Must be mature and capable of being a role model for kids.

4.      Must have a valid passport before travel.

5.      Previous trip to Hands and Feet Project required.

6.      Approved by HAF office and on site directors.

COST

1.      $650 a month to cover living and ministry expense.

2.      Must provide airfare to Haiti (estimate of $600 -$900)

3.      Must provide transportation to and from HAF site and Port au Prince Airport (Maximum of $200 each way).

4.      Optional – Haiti cell phone (around $35 and purchase of minutes, anywhere from $10 to $30 month)

5.      Optional – cash for personal expenses.

APPLICATION PROCESS

1.      Fill out Volunteer Application Form.

2.      Site directors will choose potential applicants based on need.

3.      Email and/or phone interview with HAF staff.

4.      Background check if accepted.

5.      Fundraise and submit $650 for first month. Remaining $650 month will be worked out with HAF staff.
