Thank you for considering a short-term mission trip to serve with the Hands and Feet Project. We pray your journey will be unforgettable as well as life changing!!!

As members of the body of Christ we must remain active in serving those in need by becoming His hands and feet. Through short-term mission trips, it is our goal to encourage and empower first world citizens to partner with us in caring for children in distress. Many of our full-time missionaries, current child sponsors, and long-term partners were first visitors to one of our Villages on a short-term mission trip. Simply put, our mission of caring for orphans is most fruitful when our doors are open to those willing to serve.

The Hands and Feet Project currently consists of two Children’s Villages in the country of Haiti that accept short-term mission groups. Our first Children’s Village, built in Jacmel/Cyvadier on the Southern coast of Haiti, began in 2004 and continues to provide a caring and healthy environment for many abandoned and orphaned children. The second is in the city of Grand Goave on the Central/West coast of Haiti. The Grand Goave Children’s Village began as a new partnership with existing missionaries, Lex and Renee Edme in 2009. Due to setbacks caused by the earthquake of 2010, the building process will continue in 2012 on a new permanent home for the children of Grand Goave.

Our children come form many different backgrounds and locations in Haiti. Each child arrives with an individual story. Some of our children are “true orphans” and many have been abandoned. In any case, the children are all in need of a healthy, safe, and loving place to call their own. Each Village is connected to a community church, a local Christian school, and is lead by our American and Haitian care giving staff in a Christ centered environment.

We host hundreds of people on short-term trips every year. Visitors can serve with our staff on-site, or in the local community. Every new group of visitors encompasses unique abilities, ideas, expectations, and goals. Our staff is committed to work directly with each group to make every trip a successful, meaningful experience.
